• My name is Matthew Norrie.

• I write poetry (usually when I'm miserable - but I'm learning to change).
• I play guitar and bass (badly).
• I think MAME is the best emulator ever.
• I enjoy listening to music.
• I drink far too much tea (especially Assam and Ceylon).
• I worry far too much.
• I have no idea what I am doing.
• I'll write more when I feel more inspired.

Update - 1 year on

Well, let's see what's changed and what's stayed the same. My name, domicile and origins have not changed. I'm still not keen on writing these things, but I am in a "what the hell" kind of mood, so that helps. Poetry, well I suppose on average I still write poetry, but I have only written half a poem in the last month. A slowing of the production line, you could say. I am still a guitarist/bassist of dubious talents with ornamental instruments.

MAME is still cool, but I lost all my ROMS in a hard drive crash, and my involvement has been somewhat limited since. A shame because there are some games emulated in it now that I always wanted, like Power Drift. I probably don't have a computer capable of playing it anyway.

Music still fills my days. I will be reviewing more of it soon.

I have recently been regulating my caffeine intake with the aid of fruit/herbal teas. The ceremony of preparing tea and the hot drink sensation is still there, but I don't feel like I've jammed my fingers in an electrical socket.

I am still one of the worst worriers I know. I think I have a better idea of what I'm doing, age does that to a person, I suppose.

Another year? Oh, go on then.
